LGV Driver

Responsibilities

• Report to the Transport Office at the start of shift for briefing
• Comply with all company policies, Health & Safety requirements, and hygiene standards
• Complete all paperwork, pre-checks, and daily vehicle checks accurately
• Report vehicle defects promptly and accurately
• Comply with all tachograph rules, regulations, and the Road Transport Directive
• Manage unit and trailer temperature checks and recording
• Make professional deliveries to customer premises and adhere to site procedures
• Report delivery issues, delays, or load discrepancies immediately
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned
• Achieve fuel efficiency targets set by the business

Requirements

• Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC
• Minimum 6 months experience driving LGV
• Full UK Driving License
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritize workload
