Responsibilities

• Cover the European leveraged finance market including M&A, deal origination, new debt issuance, and stressed credits
• Build source relationships with syndication desks, buyside investors, traders, and legal counsel
• Write breaking news, market roundups, and analytical features on deals and structural trends
• Track pricing, structure, and market conditions across high yield and leveraged loan markets
• Support senior reporters on the distressed and private credit desks
• Contribute to newsletters, sponsored content, podcasts, and analytical products

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in leveraged finance, loan/bond markets, or financial journalism
• Experience building a source network in European leveraged finance or similar private markets
• Solid understanding of leveraged loan and high yield bond structures, pricing, and documentation
• Ability to produce clean, market-ready copy under deadline pressure
• Based in London and able to work on a hybrid basis
