About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and perform minor maintenance on mail insert equipment
- Operate machines independently to achieve expected throughput and efficiency
- Troubleshoot equipment and provide necessary machine adjustments to meet standards
- Ensure proper sorting and handling according to USPS requirements
- Reconcile and record all output and accurately use job data capture to track time
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area following all safety rules
- Monitor quality of final output using established quality control procedures
Requirements
- 2 years of experience working with high-speed production or manufacturing equipment
- High School diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of USPS regulations
- Ability to read and understand job tickets
- English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with mail inserting machines
- Bilingual Spanish speaking skills
