Legal Specialist

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare commercial agreements with service providers, contractors, and consultants
• Provide legal advice and support regarding contractual interpretation and tenancy-related issues
• Analyze contractual terms to identify legal exposures and recommend mitigation strategies
• Manage and coordinate third-party and tenant-related legal disputes with external solicitors
• Prepare formal legal correspondence, notices, and documentation for enforcement and negotiations
• Manage external legal counsel regarding litigation and complex contract reviews
• Support special projects and corporate transactions, including solicitor appointment and documentation oversight
• Ensure stamp duty compliance and manage legal documentation archiving
• Develop and maintain legal templates and SOPs to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in legal practice or a corporate legal department
• Familiarity with local laws, statutory regulations, and the legal system
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken)
• Extensive experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiations
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
