Legal Research Librarian

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality in-depth legal, corporate and other research to support attorneys, paralegals and staff
• Monitor and respond to research requests and coordinate efforts with research team members
• Prioritize requests, analyze and synthesize results, and communicate findings clearly
• Adopt specific policies and procedures of the client’s law library department
• Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a law firm library in a reference/research position
• Expertise in legal and corporate research
• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Bloomberg Law
• Knowledge of electronic research databases and legal analytics tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable internet connection for virtual working

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Librarianship or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution
• JD from an ABA-accredited institution
