About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with functional SMEs, Legal, Compliance, and Operations leaders to evaluate regulatory changes and implement updates across CCB processes and controls.
- Manage the sustainment of legal obligation-to-procedure mappings to ensure they remain current within a dynamic regulatory environment.
- Monitor business assessments and end-to-end implementation of legal changes, ensuring clear scope, ownership, and timelines.
- Drive consistency in intake, evaluation, and change implementation processes across approximately 20 Operations functions using standard templates and workflows.
- Track and report on SLAs, performance metrics, issues, and risks to leadership, proposing remediation plans for blockers.
- Onboard and coach new functional SMEs on process, tooling, documentation standards, and quality expectations.
- Identify and deliver process improvements to streamline intake, accelerate assessments, and enhance traceability.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the regulatory change lifecycle, including intake, impact assessment, implementation, and validation.
- Experience coordinating across multiple functions to standardize processes and drive consistency at scale.
- Proficiency with workflow and governance tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Confluence.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills, with the ability to present risks and decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized with the ability to manage high-volume change portfolios and strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced degree such as a JD or MBA.
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory change management, compliance, risk management, or legal operations within financial services.
- Experience specifically within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) or retail banking.
