Legal Manager

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, service, licensing, and advertising contracts
• Provide legal advisory to business, product, marketing, and operations teams
• Advise on technology laws, data protection, privacy compliance, and privacy-by-design principles
• Oversee regulatory compliance for digital media, online platforms, and content distribution
• Manage litigation, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate with external counsel
• Manage national and international trademark portfolios and intellectual property issues
• Handle user grievance redressal mechanisms in compliance with IT regulations
• Draft and update internal policies such as privacy policies and terms of use

Requirements

• 8+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in law firms or in-house roles
• Law graduate (5-year degree preferred) from a reputed institution
• Sound knowledge of Companies Act, Foreign Exchange laws, Labour laws, and Tech/Privacy laws
• Experience with IT, media, technology, advertising, and internet law
• Proficiency in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
• Experience in contract drafting, media licensing, and handling PE/VC investments or M&A
