Legal Manager, Global Licensing

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and review content licensing contracts, including rights acquisitions, audiovisual distribution, formats, and talent agreements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure licensing viability and mitigate legal and operational risks.
• Analyze compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations arising from third-party relationships.
• Define negotiation stances and guidelines for contracts with third parties or other company divisions.
• Provide legal counsel regarding risks and contingencies related to copyright, trademarks, authorizations, and content distribution.

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited university.
• Professional license to practice law in Mexico.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the entertainment industry (law firms, TV networks, streaming platforms, or studios).
• Experience in content licensing and distribution within the US and LATAM markets.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Ability to manage high volumes of work and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technological aptitude and ability to adapt to new systems and AI-driven tools.
