Legal Intern – Commercial Legal

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze vendor agreements, procurement contracts, SaaS agreements, and other commercial transactions
• Assist in developing and updating internal procurement guidelines, vendor intake processes, and contracting playbooks
• Support due diligence efforts for new and existing vendors, including reviewing questionnaires and compliance documentation
• Conduct risk assessments for data processing, security, and business continuity
• Draft legal memos, redline summaries, and negotiation position documents to support the Commercial Legal team

Requirements

• Recently graduated or currently enrolled as a 3L in an ABA-accredited law school
• Graduation date of 2026 or 2027
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to work in-office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX
• Available full-time (40 hours per week) for a 12-week internship starting in September

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in procurement, commercial transactions, or in-house legal departments at a technology company
• Coursework or experience in contract law, commercial transactions, or technology/SaaS licensing
• Familiarity with Cloudflare's products, cloud computing infrastructure, or SaaS business models
• Experience in software development, programming, or technology product management
