About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal and legislative history research
- Draft memoranda, enforcement documents, and legal briefs
- Analyze legislation and regulations
- Assist with litigation, including administrative hearings collection actions, and Article 78 proceedings
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in law school for the next year
- Completion of at least one year of law school
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong academic credentials
- Demonstrated interest in public service
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in NYC government, election law, campaign finance or a related field
- Experience in administrative law and/or regulatory enforcement
- Experience in legislation and regulation
