About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Aid in drafting memoranda, motions, declarations, and legal pleadings
- Provide general assistance on active litigation, including cite-checking
- Support development of new litigation projects
- Perform fact development, background research, or track and analyze bills
Requirements
- Currently matriculated legal student
- Must have completed at least one year of law school
- Based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple assignments and incorporate feedback
- Demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil rights, and social justice
