Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Advise business teams across the UK and EMEA on financial regulation, consumer protection, payments, and banking.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle for bank partners, online platforms, and enterprise customers, including drafting and negotiation.
• Support new product launches and market expansions, including license applications and corporate matters.
• Assess and advise on risks related to API integrations, regulatory implications, and bank partner relationships.
• Develop and maintain legal templates and streamline processes for the UK and EMEA regions.
• Mentor and upskill business teams by supervising legal support queries and providing practical, risk-based solutions.

Requirements

• 4-7 years PQE and UK qualified lawyer.
• Proven experience in the banking or payments industry.
• Strong expertise in commercial contract structuring, drafting, and negotiation.
• Deep knowledge of financial services regulation, including payments, consumer protection, and banking.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and communicate practical solutions to technical and non-technical teams.
