Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical legal advice to support customer and business outcomes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and supplier agreements.
• Support the Senior Legal Counsel with litigation, broker arrangements, and product initiatives.
• Review and advise on insurance policy wordings and customer-facing documentation.
• Undertake legal research and provide legislative updates to the team.
• Contribute to legal training and knowledge sharing across the business.

Requirements

• Solicitor qualified in England and Wales.
• Minimum of 2+ years PQE.
• Valid Practising Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry, specifically group risk insurance products.
• Experience working within the financial services sector.
• Knowledge of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
• Understanding of income protection, critical illness, and life insurance products in group and individual markets.
