Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for global business operations and production bases in the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia
• Conduct legal reviews and advisory for cross-border M&A and Joint Venture (JV) establishment projects
• Support contract negotiations, project execution, and risk management for EV and ESS order projects
• Draft, review, and negotiate various English-language contracts
• Collaborate with overseas subsidiaries, global team members, and external law firms to resolve legal issues
• Support the development of strategies for handling international litigation and arbitration
• Monitor legal trends, policies, and regulations in key countries to analyze business impact

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Licensed attorney in Korea or a Common Law jurisdiction (e.g., US, UK, Australia)
• Minimum of 1 year of legal practice experience
• Ability to travel overseas for business purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a major domestic/international law firm or as in-house counsel for a large corporation
• Experience with outbound investment projects in the US, Southeast Asia, or Europe
• Legal experience related to automotive suppliers (parts/materials)
• Experience supporting contracts for ESS (Energy Storage System) projects
• Experience in product liability disputes or advisory
• Fluency in both English and Korean (capable of reviewing contracts and conducting business conversations in both languages)
• Strong communication skills and high ethical standards
