Legal Counsel - Regulatory and Compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance oversight and guidance to senior stakeholders on regulatory matters, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks
• Review and provide compliance input on commercial contracts to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
• Conduct compliance assessments of product designs, data flows, and operational processes
• Contribute to building legal infrastructure including templates, playbooks, and internal tooling
• Develop and maintain privacy compliance programs and conduct data protection impact assessments
• Establish scalable compliance frameworks and monitoring systems to integrate regulatory requirements into products

Requirements

• Law degree (LL.M. or equivalent) from Sweden, the UK, or an EU-jurisdiction
• Qualified to practice in your jurisdiction
• 4+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel
• Proven expertise in GDPR, CCPA, and cross-border privacy compliance
• Familiarity with ISO standards and global compliance frameworks (e.g., AICPA SOC)
• Strong experience negotiating B2B SaaS agreements
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Strong legal judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
