Legal Counsel, Product and Regulatory

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to global offices on product, commercial, and regulatory issues for B2B and B2C travel and expense products
• Advise product and operations teams on partnerships, privacy, travel regulation, consumer terms, and advertising
• Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including travel supply, distribution, and technology service provider contracts
• Proactively educate business partners on legal risks and regulatory developments to build compliance into planning processes
• Support expense management products, covering payment processing, card program compliance, and related vendor agreements
• Partner with and manage outside counsel on specialized matters such as regulatory filings and international compliance

Requirements

• J.D. degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar
• 5-7 years of experience as a practicing attorney
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions
• Strong background in e-commerce, including internet privacy, advertising law, and consumer-facing product terms
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and manage a high volume of time-sensitive matters in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior in-house counseling experience at a technology company
• Experience with travel industry regulations
• Experience with payment card or financial services compliance
