About the Company

Outpost is building the AI global trade engine. We operate as Merchant of Record or Tax of Record across 58+ tax jurisdictions, providing full liability transfer and infrastructure for international commerce.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, merchant contracts, and partnership deals
• Advise on regulatory posture across EMI, PSD2, and equivalent frameworks
• Ensure compliance with Visa and Mastercard scheme rules
• Help build and maintain AML policies and compliance programmes
• Support KYC/KYB processes and regulatory obligations
• Support fundraising activities including term sheets and investment documents
• Manage corporate governance, cap tables, and equity
• Research legal and regulatory requirements for international market entry
• Manage external counsel in new jurisdictions

Requirements

• In-house legal experience at a payments company or fintech, or private practice with a fintech regulatory focus
• Exposure to payments regulation, commercial contracts, or AML
• Ability to draft and negotiate contracts independently
• Comfort with ambiguity and a startup environment
• Strong bias for action and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EMI/PSD2 frameworks
• Exposure to fundraising or corporate governance
