Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide transactional support in deal execution, including drafting and reviewing legal documentation throughout the investment lifecycle
• Offer legal and regulatory advice to facilitate informed decision-making and manage business risks
• Review and negotiate contracts and legal documents in both Arabic and English
• Support corporate governance matters across Masdar entities, subsidiaries, and portfolio companies
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of board, committee, and shareholder documentation
• Provide advice on UAE laws, including employment, company, and energy sector regulations
• Manage and monitor external legal counsel and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law from a reputable regional or international university
• Admission to practice in the UAE or an internationally recognized jurisdiction
• 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within a regional or international law firm
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic
• Strong knowledge of UAE laws, regulations, and legal reporting standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment related to the renewable energy sector
• Strong research, communication, and influencing skills
• Ability to identify legal risks and develop effective action plans
