Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide transactional support in deal execution, including drafting and reviewing legal documentation throughout the investment lifecycle
• Offer legal and regulatory advice to facilitate informed decision-making and manage risks
• Support corporate governance matters across Masdar entities, subsidiaries, and portfolio companies
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of board, committee, and shareholder documentation
• Review and negotiate legal documents and contracts in both Arabic and English
• Manage and monitor external legal counsel and their output
• Assist in the preparation of litigation or court proceedings in the UAE and other jurisdictions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university
• Admission to practice in the UAE or an internationally recognized jurisdiction
• 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a regional or international law firm
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
• Strong knowledge of UAE laws, regulations, and legal reporting standards
• Proficiency in contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi
