Legal Counsel Intern

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed research notes on assigned corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
• Draft, review, and analyze agreements, pleadings, notices, and legal opinions
• Examine statutes, case laws, regulatory materials, and financial statements for advisory assignments
• Assist in corporate, tax advisory, transactional, and litigation support matters
• Support the team in handling matters related to company law, indirect tax, and intellectual property
• Maintain legal databases and document management systems to ensure proper record keeping
• Coordinate with legal professionals on advisory, compliance, and litigation-related activities

Requirements

• Pursuing CS (Executive or Professional level) and/or pursuing LLB (3-year or 5-year course)
• Good knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013, and basic legal principles
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong research, communication, and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
