Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including IT services, SOWs, RFPs, NDAs, and vendor contracts
• Advise on data protection, information security, and regulatory compliance including GDPR
• Monitor UK and EU legal and regulatory developments and assess business impact
• Contribute to the development of internal policies and governance frameworks
• Assist with dispute resolution, litigation, and managing external counsel
• Support employment matters including HR policies and employee relations
• Support corporate governance and general commercial matters
• Improve legal team precedents, processes, and internal training

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 3–5 years’ PQE
• Strong experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation for technology services
• Working knowledge of data protection and GDPR frameworks
• High-quality drafting and technical legal ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain legal issues to non-legal stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UK public sector contracts
• Experience with cross-border matters
• Proficiency in additional European languages
