Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review commercial contracts, internal policies, and other legal documents
• Implement and maintain legal compliance across various business areas including data protection, marketing, payments, and consumer rights
• Analyze tier-1 country legislation regarding data protection, consumer rights, and AI regulation to provide practical business advice
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, analysts, and marketers to mitigate legal risks
• Resolve consumer complaints and interact with government authorities during investigations
• Proactively identify and manage potential legal risks in operating jurisdictions (North America, Europe, and Central Africa)
• Provide legal support for current company operations and communicate with international business partners and law firms

Requirements

• Fluent English proficiency, including legal document preparation
• 3+ years of relevant experience in an international/leading law firm, in-house at a product IT company, or at a Big Four firm
• Successful education at a top-tier law university
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in stressful situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of product IT company operations
• Knowledge of consumer protection and data privacy laws in the US, EU, and other tier-1 countries
• Participation in moot court competitions
