Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and negotiating complex customer, partner, and vendor contracts
• Establish contracting and organizational processes to improve scaling efficiency
• Own and drive large, complex regulatory and compliance projects to completion
• Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulatory regimes and track new laws
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to company stakeholders
• Support HR, corporate governance, and commercial/financial operational matters
• Address customer questions and concerns regarding legal matters

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or foreign equivalent from a top law school
• Admitted to practice law in New York State or able to waive in
• 2-5 years of legal experience at a top firm involving diverse corporate work
• Strong legal drafting and research skills
• Ability to parse and distill complex statutes and regulations
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Financial literacy to partner with Sales and Finance teams
• Willingness to work in person at NYC headquarters 4-5 days a week
