About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial and technology transactions including licensing, strategic partnerships, and sales deals
- Own the legal work behind the silicon supply chain, including foundry, OSAT, and contract-manufacturing agreements
- Advise on intellectual-property strategy and technology-transaction structuring
- Guide export-control compliance (EAR/ITAR), regulatory matters, and data privacy
- Build scalable contracting processes, templates, and playbooks
- Help grow and lead a Tech Trans legal team over time
Requirements
- JD and active membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar (CA preferred)
- 10–15+ years of commercial/technology transactional experience
- Deep expertise in technology and software licensing and strategic partnerships
- Direct experience in the semiconductor industry (supply chain, foundry, OSAT, or contract-manufacturing)
- Working knowledge of export controls (EAR/ITAR) and data privacy
- Strong technical fluency
