Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to the Tires sector in Southeast Asia, Japan, and Korea
• Identify and analyze legal risks
• Monitor changes in legislation and inform affected stakeholders
• Support the development and implementation of risk avoidance solutions
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties including customers, suppliers, and public authorities
• Advise on various projects across multiple legal areas
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents
• Conduct workshops and training for assigned stakeholders
• Assist and support stakeholders in claim management
• Coordinate with external law firms and internal departments
• Record and track legal matters in IT systems

Requirements

• Degree in Law (LLB)
• Qualified to practice in Malaysia
• At least 3 years post qualification experience as in-house counsel or in a law firm
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus
