Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage legal responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, enforcement actions, and voluntary self-disclosures relating to financial crime.
• Collaborate with global compliance, investigations, and transaction monitoring teams to identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime legal risks.
• Act as the primary liaison and project manager when engaging top-tier external law firms, ensuring efficiency and strict cost management.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer.
• At least 1 year of in-house experience or experience at a major law firm.
• Deep understanding of how digital assets work under discovery and the ability to strategize for optimal outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency, Web3, and various crypto use cases.
• Fluency in both English and Chinese.
• Ability to thrive under high pressure and manage complex projects independently while working effectively within a team.
