About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements.
- Support a broad range of legal, corporate, governance, and compliance matters.
- Serve as a key legal contact for North American corporate matters.
- Contribute to ESG/CSR, privacy, consumer protection, and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with members of the legal team on strategic projects and emerging legal issues.
Requirements
- Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
- 0–3 years of experience in private practice or in-house, ideally with exposure to commercial law.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools and technology to drive efficiency.
