Legal & Compliance Counsel

Responsibilities

• Advise on a variety of legal, compliance, and governance-related matters
• Drive legal, regulatory, compliance, governance, IP, and data privacy strategies
• Liaise with regulators, including the Hong Kong Insurance Authority
• Proactively identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and compliance risks
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including insurance policies and SaaS contracts
• Support fundraising, group structuring, and investments or acquisitions
• Shape and support the group’s governance landscape regarding directors and investor matters

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in a common law or Asian jurisdiction
• 5+ years post-qualification experience (flexibility available for exceptional candidates)
• Fluent in English and Chinese (written and spoken), with the ability to draft in both languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance sector
• Legal experience within Tech or SaaS environments
• Experience using GenAI tools and agents
