Legal & Compliance Associate

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal policies and guidelines to protect the group’s interests and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Draft legal documents including announcements, circulars, and board papers.
• Provide advice on day-to-day operations, including HK listing rules, corporate governance, and privacy matters.
• Conduct legal research on developments in listing rules and data protection to recommend appropriate actions.
• Provide legal training to business stakeholders on key issues and best practices.
• Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to support commercial projects.
• Assist senior lawyers with various tasks and support the administration of the Legal & Compliance Team.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of post-qualification experience gained from reputable law firms or MNCs.
• Qualified to practice in Hong Kong, the U.S., or other common law jurisdictions.
• Proven experience in Hong Kong listing rules compliance, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
• Experience managing data protection issues and regulatory practices for international businesses.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Strong commercial awareness and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in-house is considered an advantage.
