Legal Associate

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, service, licensing, and advertising contracts
• Provide legal advisory on technology laws, data protection, and privacy compliance
• Ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded in platform features and technology deployments
• Oversee compliance with digital media, IT laws, and intermediary guidelines
• Advise on legal risks related to publication, including defamation, IP infringement, and privacy violations
• Manage litigation, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate with external counsel
• Manage national and international trademark portfolios and IP enforcement
• Handle user grievance redressal mechanisms in compliance with IT regulations
• Draft and update internal policies such as privacy policies and terms of use

Requirements

• 2-4 years of PQE in corporate and advisory roles
• Expertise in contract law, intellectual property, media, technology, and privacy laws
• Law graduate from a reputed institution (5-year degree preferred)
• Full working proficiency in English and Hindi
• Prior experience in internet, digital media, or technology companies
• Hands-on experience in contract drafting and media licensing
