Legal Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive support to assigned litigation attorneys and the Litigation Group
• Prepare, draft, and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence
• Electronically file and serve pleadings and discovery in state and federal courts
• Perform administrative duties such as managing attorney schedules, calendars, and time entries
• Support the billing process and manage client contacts and emails
• Maintain and organize files in accordance with Information Governance Policies
• Proofread and edit documents with high attention to detail
• Interact professionally with clients and guests

Requirements

• 3+ years of related legal experience, specifically including state and federal court filing
• Proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work with a sense of urgency
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
