About the role

Responsibilities

  • Investigate tort claims and draft Discovery answers
  • Interview witnesses, including City inspectors, police officers, and motor vehicle operators
  • Manage investigation requests to City departments and follow up on deadlines
  • Process settlement agreements and update databases
  • Manage mandated reporting to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
  • Research real property ownership and possession
  • Assist attorneys with case management, document preparation, and trial logistics

Requirements

  • College degree
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access)
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous assignments independently
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Must become a City of Philadelphia resident within six months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or paralegal certificate
  • Executive assistant experience, preferably in a legal setting

About the Company
