About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding teaching and coordination at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including core Priestley units.
- Develop innovative pedagogic approaches and professional skills development for students.
- Conduct high-quality research with an ambitious agenda, demonstrating capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world impact.
- Actively seek research funding and contribute to the research activities of the Law School and broader University.
- Contribute to engagement, service, and leadership activities within the University and the legal profession.
Requirements
- PhD in Law or a highly relevant field.
- Demonstrated track record of high-quality research publications and scholarship.
- Extensive tertiary legal education experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Proven capacity for the supervision of higher degree research students.
- Ability to contribute to university administration and enhance the institution's reputation through external engagement.
- For Senior Lecturer (Level C) applicants: Demonstrated research leadership and a proven ability to secure research funding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching core units such as civil procedure, commercial law, or private law.
- Established history of international, domestic, or industry research partnerships.
