Lecturer, Oil and Field Operations

Responsibilities

• Teach certificate courses in oil and gas operations with an emphasis on well plugging, abandonment, field practices, and safety
• Plan, organize, and deliver instructional content to promote student success
• Provide timely feedback and respond to student inquiries via university-provided tools
• Maintain a consistent, in-person presence on-site to support students and collaborate with colleagues
• Participate in the academic life of the institution and engage with the department

Requirements

• Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
• At least 5 years of industry experience in oil/gas well operations
• Proven experience in workover/completions or plugging and abandonment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching or professional training experience
• Industry certifications such as safety, well control, or H2S
• Experience in Appalachian Basin operations
