About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach 9 credits of didactic course work and/or practicum (clinical) courses per semester (Fall & Spring) within the pre-licensure BSN program
- Participate in departmental and School of Health Sciences councils, committees, and curriculum review/revision
- Advise students to guide them in meeting degree requirements and career goals
- Pursue relevant professional development to maintain excellence in nursing education
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Eligible for an unencumbered Washington state RN license (or MSL)
- At least two years of teaching experience with undergraduate and/or graduate nursing students, including didactic and practicum courses
- Demonstrated record of supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated knowledge of cultural competence in academic and healthcare settings
