About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach 9 credits of didactic course work and/or practicum (clinical) courses per semester (Fall & Spring) within the pre-licensure BSN program
  • Participate in departmental and School of Health Sciences councils, committees, and curriculum review/revision
  • Advise students to guide them in meeting degree requirements and career goals
  • Pursue relevant professional development to maintain excellence in nursing education

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Eligible for an unencumbered Washington state RN license (or MSL)
  • At least two years of teaching experience with undergraduate and/or graduate nursing students, including didactic and practicum courses
  • Demonstrated record of supporting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cultural competence in academic and healthcare settings
