Lecturer Midwifery

Responsibilities

• Undertake teaching, course coordination, and curriculum development within the School of Nursing and Midwifery
• Engage in learning and teaching research or scholarship
• Provide supervision for Honours and research higher degree students (if eligible)
• Contribute to leading midwifery programs within an innovative and progressive team

Requirements

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (Ahpra) as a registered midwife
• Minimum of a Masters qualification in midwifery or an equivalent level
• Previous midwifery teaching experience within the tertiary sector
• Demonstrated clinical midwifery expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Ahpra endorsement for scheduled medication for midwives
• Completion of, or current enrolment in, a doctoral level program in midwifery or a relevant field
