About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach three sections of introductory statistics (STA 201: Statistical Methods I) using the college's unique block schedule.
- Deliver course content covering data collection, descriptive statistics, and inference for proportions and means.
- Utilize JMP software for descriptive and normal/t-based methods.
- Implement modern inference techniques using simulation, randomization tests, and bootstrap confidence intervals via StatKey.
- Engage with students in small class settings (limited to 24 students) to foster strong academic relationships.
Requirements
- Master's degree in statistics or a closely related field is required.
- Ability to teach full-time during specific four-week blocks starting in October 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in statistics or a closely related field.
- Prior experience teaching introductory statistics.
