About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach up to five sections of introductory Kinesiology courses using the college's unique block schedule.
- Deliver instruction for various topics including Sports and American Society, Lifetime Physical Fitness, Health and Wellness, Coaching, and Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries.
- Engage students through the "One Course At A Time" model, which allows for intensive, focused instruction.
- Foster strong student engagement and close faculty-student relationships within small class sizes (limited to 24 students).
Requirements
- Master's degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field is required.
- Ability to teach on-site at the Mount Vernon, Iowa campus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Kinesiology or a closely related field.
- Previous experience teaching at the college level.
