About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach First-Year Composition courses for the Fall 2026 semester
- Guide students in attending to the context and purpose of their writing
- Instruct students on selecting credible, relevant sources to develop original ideas
- Facilitate learning outcomes related to critical reading and written communication
- Manage small class sections with a maximum enrollment of 18 students
Requirements
- Master's degree in English
- Documented teaching experience and pedagogy at the college level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and faculty
- Flexibility in scheduling
Preferred Qualifications
- Concentration in Composition & Rhetoric or a related field
