Lecturer in Business

Responsibilities

• Provide undergraduate instruction in various business courses, including introductory and professional development courses.
• Assess student work and provide detailed feedback on content knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Mentor undergraduate students through one-on-one interactions, group sessions, and independent study.
• Serve as the Coordinator of SBE Experiential Learning and Student Success Initiatives.
• Develop and implement a four-year experiential, career, and professional skills development framework for business majors.
• Coordinate co-curricular programs focused on professional skills, networking, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
• Collaborate with college units to support faculty in developing signature experiential learning opportunities.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and tasks forces to support departmental goals.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Business or a related field.
• Recent engagement with industry.
• Meets AACSB faculty qualifications in one of the designated categories.
• Proven teaching experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and ongoing scholarship.
• Experience or interest in coordinating curriculum and co-curricular programming.

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in business or a related field (Ph.D., D.B.A., or J.D.).
• Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research.
• Experience with student success and co-curricular programming and management.
