Lecturer in Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach the two-semester anatomy and physiology course sequence, including both lecture and laboratory sections
• Provide instruction for approximately 24 credit hours per academic year
• Utilize active and engaging pedagogies in the classroom setting
• Mentor students through one-on-one and group interactions
• Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback on content knowledge and critical thinking skills
• Hold regular office hours and maintain a consistent presence on campus
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and admissions events

Requirements

• MS degree or equivalent (e.g., PhD candidate) in a related biological field
• Demonstrated teaching experience
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available)

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a related field
• Experience working with diverse student populations and communities
