About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach core undergraduate theoretical and laboratory courses in aerospace engineering
- Instruct selected graduate-level courses
- Participate in departmental services, including advising student groups and serving on committees
- Mentor and develop undergraduate students and early-stage engineering professionals
Requirements
- PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate engineering courses in aerospace or mechanical engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge of aerodynamics and propulsion
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience and passion for mentoring future engineers and leaders
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated record of scholarly work in the field of aerodynamics and propulsion
- Knowledge of scientific computing
- Experience with laboratory teaching
- Ability and willingness to teach across all areas of the aerospace engineering curriculum
