About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach BIOLOGY 225 (Human and Animal Physiology) and BIOLOGY 226 (Human and Animal Physiology Laboratory) for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms
- Create and deliver engaging lectures for BIOLOGY 225
- Develop and grade student assignments and manage student accommodations for lecture courses
- Train Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) on laboratory exercises for BIOLOGY 226
- Coordinate with laboratory preparation staff to ensure successful lab execution
- Supervise GSI grading and manage student accommodations for laboratory courses
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field
- Proven experience teaching undergraduate biology
- Deep subject matter knowledge in Human and Animal Physiology
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biology
- At least 3 years of undergraduate biology teaching experience
- Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence
