About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead three discussion sections for the writing-intensive course "Great Performances"
- Attend required performances, including weekend evening events
- Facilitate writing workshops and attend lectures
- Hold weekly office hours for individual student consultation
- Evaluate, grade, and provide feedback on student writing and materials
- Participate in weekly instructional team meetings for course planning
- Attend mandatory Comparative Literature GSI/Lecturer training
Requirements
- Terminal degree (PhD or MFA) in a humanities field
- Expertise in Performance Studies, Music, Theater, or Dance
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and instruction
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching writing-intensive courses (such as LSA FYWR)
