About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach three courses during the Fall 2026 semester
  • Instruct sections in the Elementary Language Program and/or upper-level courses in Peninsular, Latinx Studies, or Latin American literature and culture
  • Attend required course meetings and hold regular office hours
  • Manage routine instructional matters and student engagement

Requirements

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Prior experience teaching Spanish as a foreign or second language
  • Minimum of an MA or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Hispanic Studies, Romance Languages, or a closely related field
  • Experience with the communicative method of language instruction and flipped classroom models
  • Experience teaching inclusive concepts within a language course context
  • Ability to teach additional Romance languages
