About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach three courses during the Fall 2026 semester
- Instruct sections in the Elementary Language Program and/or upper-level courses in Peninsular, Latinx Studies, or Latin American literature and culture
- Attend required course meetings and hold regular office hours
- Manage routine instructional matters and student engagement
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Prior experience teaching Spanish as a foreign or second language
- Minimum of an MA or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Hispanic Studies, Romance Languages, or a closely related field
- Experience with the communicative method of language instruction and flipped classroom models
- Experience teaching inclusive concepts within a language course context
- Ability to teach additional Romance languages
