About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses, including Humanitarian Dilemmas and Gender, War and Peace
  • Develop comprehensive course materials and syllabi
  • Evaluate and grade student work
  • Hold regularly scheduled office hours to support student learning
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teaching within the Program in International and Comparative Studies

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Political Science, Anthropology, History, Sociology, or an adjacent field by the start of the appointment
  • Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching
  • Expertise in humanitarianism, conflict and peace studies, gender and war, human rights, or related fields
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and engagement with diverse student populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with LSA International Institute students and programs
  • Demonstrated interdisciplinary area of expertise
