Lecturer (Engineering - Civil)

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching in core civil engineering subjects, including engineering mechanics, structural analysis, and design.
• Support undergraduate and postgraduate course planning, development, and delivery using innovative teaching approaches.
• Conduct high-quality scholarly research aligned with UWA priorities and publish in leading international journals.
• Contribute to research teams through student supervision and successful competitive funding applications.
• Engage with professional bodies, industry stakeholders, and the community to enhance the visibility of the School’s activities.

Requirements

• PhD in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated track record of excellence in research with measurable impact.
• Experience in curriculum development, including units aligned with Australian structural design standards.
• Proven ability to secure competitive research funding and engage with industry partners.
• Ability to contribute positively to university activities and public engagement.
