About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as construction management, project planning, cost estimation, and engineering management.
- Develop new courses and curricula aligned with current industry needs.
- Provide student advising and mentoring, including support for student projects and career preparation.
- Strengthen connections between Civil Engineering and Engineering Management programs.
- Engage with industry partners to create experiential learning opportunities for students.
Requirements
- MS in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related field.
- Three (3) years of relevant industry experience in construction or project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a closely related discipline.
- Professional licensure (e.g., PE) or relevant industry certifications.
- Five (5) years of full-time industry experience with decision-making responsibilities.
- Prior teaching experience in construction engineering or management topics.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
