Leasing Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in ensuring the property is rented to its fullest capacity
• Confirm completion of all leases and accurately input data into the Yardi System
• Maintain resident files and assist with answering phones and entering work orders
• Review tenant applications for eligibility and manage waiting lists
• Adhere to HUD regulations and affordable housing program guidelines
• Process Section 8 (50059) and LIHTC Tenant Income Certification (TIC)
• Process EIV reports and maintain compliance standards
• Conduct annual tenant re-certifications and compliance reporting
• Minimize property vacancy loss through efficient applicant processing
• Supervise leasing specialists and provide staff training and leadership
• Conduct daily property walks and inspections to ensure community appearance and safety
• Coordinate with maintenance staff regarding service requests and market-ready standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification required
• Previous experience in property management or affordable housing management
• Proficiency in Yardi, MS Office Suite, and Realpage
• Strong understanding of HUD regulations and affordable housing guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of EIV compliance and reporting standards
• Additional certifications related to property or affordable housing management
