Lease Analyst I

Responsibilities

• Abstract and interpret commercial lease documents including leases, amendments, subleases, and termination agreements
• Input critical lease data into abstraction and accounting platforms such as MRI, Leverton, or ProLease
• Review peer abstracts to ensure accuracy in tenant billing, lease dates, square footage, and recurring charges
• Track and collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain documentation for development milestones and rent commencement
• Maintain Consumer Price Index (CPI) tables and process annual rent escalations
• Maintain and update tenant and landlord naming conventions for reporting purposes
• Coach and train new team members on lease abstraction processes and develop workflows to increase accuracy

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent educational background
• 6 months to 1 year of lease abstraction experience, specifically within the US Real Estate industry (Office, Retail, or Industrial)
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate and contractual terminologies
• Proven ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex legal documents
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
